What You'll Do as a Data-Sleek Student Intern
As a student intern at Data-Sleek, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and gain experience in different areas of data analysis, including:
Data Engineering
You will help design, build, and maintain data pipelines that are used to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data lakes or data warehouses that represent in a uniform way the single source of truth for enterprise data.
Data Science
You will work on projects that involve statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling to perform supply forecasting, quality management, and customer sentiment analysis.
Data Analytics/Business Intelligence
You will help design and build KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), visualizations and dashboards to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations.
Data Architecture
You will help design and implement data architectures that support the storage, processing, and analysis of large volumes of data.
Data Warehousing
You will help design and build data warehouses that are used to store and analyze large volumes of data, and work through the five core pillars of data warehousing – dimensional modeling, data integration, transformation, data governance and analytics.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for the Data-Sleek Student Internship Program, you must meet the following criteria:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a related particular field, such as computer science, data science, engineering, statistics, or mathematics |

Strong academic performance with a GPA of 3.0 or higher |
|
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working on large datasets |
|
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL |
|
Excellent communication and teamwork skills |

Data-Sleek was born, in part, with a mission to create real life, hands-on, internship opportunities for students pursuing a career in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Science. Our Future Leaders program bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world application by immersing students in real projects, mentorship, and the day-to-day work of data professionals—preparing them for full-time roles.
Our clients also participate in the Data-Sleek Future Leaders Program by involving students (from the Master of Science in Business Analytics program at UCLA Anderson) and providing them the opportunity to work on their ongoing projects with Data-Sleek. As part of their final course project, students have partnered with our clients to analyze their data, build data warehouses, design and deploy different analytics models, create dashboards and recommend solutions for complex business problems.
